I subscribe to the ideology and philosophy of Global Black/African Unity, Pan-Africanism if you will, for the better part of 15+ years.

Personally, I can’t show any examples of being asked to deny my unique ethnicity to adopt the ideology.

I don’t know where this flat blackness narrative came from. Flat blackness or being a “generic African” is not a requirement to subscribe to or support Pan-Africanism.

The Black Panthers fed thousands of children, ran free health clinics and built programs that served their communities because government had failed them.

After the KKK terrorised Black communities for generations, The Black Panther Party was formed to defend Black communities against police brutality and white supremacist violence. The FBI infiltrated the party, worked to destroy it, and targeted its leaders. Fred Hampton was killed in a police raid at just 21 years old. The government treated a movement defending Black lives as a threat while white supremacist violence continued.
