If you do not have ₦50,000,000 sitting idle, please just scroll past this post. 🇳🇬
For those still here. Welcome to the table.
The Federal Government of Nigeria is offering ₦1.2 trillion in bonds and paying 22.60% interest to whoever lends them the money.
FGN JAN 2035 — 10-year bond at 22.60%
FGN APR 2037—20-year bond at 16.2499%
Minimum subscription: ₦50,001,000.
Auction date: June 22, 2026.
Interest paid twice a year. Backed by the full faith and credit of the Nigerian government.
Put in ₦50 million for one year at 22.60% and you are walking away with over ₦11 million in interest alone. Your money made more in 12 months than most Nigerians earn in 3 years working a job.
This is what having serious capital does. It makes more capital.
To those who scrolled back up after seeing ₦50 million. There is still a way in. Mutual funds like Coronation Fixed Income Fund and Zedcrest Fixed Income Fund already hold positions in bonds exactly like this one. Minimum entry from ₦1,000.
You do not need ₦50 million to benefit from government bonds. You just need to know where to look. 🇳🇬

OPay has 35M+ active users in Nigeria. Most use it only for transfers. That is leaving serious money on the table.
OWealth pays 15% annually with full daily liquidity. N500,000 sitting there earns N205 every single day. UBA saves pays 1.15%. Same N500k earns N5,750 for the whole year. OWealth pays 13x more with the same access to your money.
Fixed Savings goes up to 18% per annum. Lock N400,000 for 365 days: gross interest is N72,000, less 10% withholding tax, net return is N64,800. Your N400k becomes N464,800. Hands-free.
Target Savings (17% p.a.) lets you define a goal, set a timeline, and save daily, weekly, or monthly toward it. SafeBox adds withdrawal friction so you cannot touch money you have already earmarked. Spend and Save automatically moves a percentage of every transaction into savings earning daily returns.
The debit card costs zero to maintain and works on Netflix, Uber, AliExpress, and Emirates. Free transfers save a business owner making 20 transfers daily up to N193,000 a year in bank charges alone.
A disciplined OPay user running all these features simultaneously can generate over N270,000 in financial benefit in year one without a single investment decision.
OPay is not a get-rich product. It is financial infrastructure. Most Nigerians are sleeping on it.

Femi Otedola talks about how he repaid his debt of over $1.2b in 2008
He gave up 184 flats, all his shares in 🇳🇬 banks, African finance Corporation, Transcorp Hliton, Mobil, Chevron, Visafone, etc
He was left with a house & office in Lagos, a house in abuja, and 37% stake in AP
In 10 years, I will have roughly 78 million naira sitting in a mutual fund. 68 million of that will be pure interest.
Let me show you how I got here.
In 2018, I studied compound interest and decided to give it a shot. I started putting 30,000 naira every month into a mutual fund at 20% annual interest. In June 2023, when I started earning more, I increased it to 50,000 naira monthly.
Today, I have over 8 million naira in that account. I have deposited 3.6 million naira in total and earned over 4.5 million naira as interest. That is more than I put in.
And I am just getting started.
If I keep dropping 50k there every month for the next 10 years, I will be looking at roughly 78 million naira, with about 68 million being pure interest.
That is the power of compound interest. As small as the money you save might be, with a good interest rate of 18 to 20% annually, you can become a multimillionaire in 10 to 20 years.
Not everybody is good at business and not everyone will excel there. If business is not your thing, find a low risk investment and put your money there. Let it compound and watch yourself become a boss.
Above all, love God.
The Treasury Bill "Laddering"
Instead of putting all your money in one 12-month T-Bill, split it.
Put some in a 3-month bill, some in 6-month, and some in 12-month.
This gives you liquidity. Every few months, cash hits your account, and you can choose to reinvest at higher rates or use it for emergencies.
7 Movies That Will Teach You More About Investing Than Most Finance Courses.
Just films that show you exactly how money works, how people lose it, how people build it, and the mistakes every investor makes when emotion takes over from logic.
Every Nigerian investor should watch all seven. The lessons are universal. The mistakes are ones happening on the NGX right now.

12 life hacks you need to know:
1. If someone sends you a message on WhatsApp and you want to read it without them knowing that you have read it (without triggering the blue ticks), turn on aeroplane mode first, read the message and close the app before turning your data back on.
2. If your phone gets stolen, log into your Google account from another device immediately and use Find My Device to lock it remotely before they access anything.
3. Never click links sent to you via SMS or WhatsApp from unknown numbers. That is how SIM swaps and bank fraud begin.
4. Start investing in Nigerian stocks even with small amounts. Bamboo, Trove and Meristem let you start with as little as N2,000. Your money should be working while you sleep.
5. Always get a receipt for every rent payment. No matter how friendly your landlord seems, paper is your protection.
6. Before you collect a house key from any landlord in Nigeria, change the lock immediately. You do not know who else has a copy of that key.
7. Keep a small emergency cash amount hidden at home. Not everything requires a transfer. Power outages, network failures and emergencies do not wait for your app to load.
8. If you ever witness or are involved in any legal matter, document everything immediately. Dates, times, names and conversations. Memory fades but records do not.
9. Never sign any document you have not read completely. Not a tenancy agreement, not a loan form, not a job contract. Nobody is in a hurry enough to cost you your peace.
10. Open a separate savings account you do not have a debit card for. Money you cannot easily access is money you actually save.
11. Turn on two step verification on WhatsApp right now. Go to Settings, Account, then Two Step Verification. It stops anyone from transferring your number to another device without your permission.
12. No matter how small your income is, save at least 10 to 20 percent every month before you spend anything. Pay yourself first.
Above all, love God.
1. Download any of these apps from the Play Store or Apple Store: Bamboo, Trove or Chaka. All three are SEC licensed, beginner friendly and you can start with as little as N2,000.
2. Sign up. Creating an account is straightforward. It is no different from registering on Opay or any social media platform. Just follow the steps and you are done in minutes.
3. Use your correct details during registration. Your full name, BVN and bank account number. Your BVN is for verification and your account number is for withdrawals. Do not skip or falsify anything here.
4. Deposit the amount you want to invest. You can start small. There is no pressure to go in big immediately. Learn the process first.
5. Once you are in, look for the Invest or Trade button on the home page. Search for the stock you want to buy, MTN, GTCO, Dangote, BUA Foods or any other, enter the amount you want to invest and confirm your purchase. That is it. You are now a shareholder.
A few things to keep in mind:
Do not invest money you cannot afford to leave untouched for a while. Stocks are not a get rich quick play. Be patient, stay consistent and let your money grow over time.
The best time to start was yesterday. The second best time is today.
Above all, love God.
Most Nigerians don’t know this 👇🏽
The Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) has an official portal called e-CSCS where you can view your ENTIRE stock portfolio in one place.

So even if you:
• Use multiple brokers

…your CHN connects everything together.

A lot of “missing shares” are not actually missing investors just never checked their CSCS account.
