What’s happened to basic journalistic balance @theage? 8 people saying the mural was terrific and only one counter view. As for it being ‘edgy’, @stephenjolly99 porn and other garden variety depictions of violence against women are tediously mainstream.

The Greens’ campaign review should actively seek out views from the many many previously loyal, dedicated & long-standing members who were driven out of the party or left in despair because of the (new) internal authoritarianism and rejection of core Green values & priorities.
Women constantly do ‘safety work’ to avoid sexual violence, knowing odds are we’ll be blamed if that fails. We have to have the (impossible) ‘right amount of panic’.

So I guess Elon Musk’s seemingly new-found concern about child sexual exploitation and rape means he’ll be stopping X being used to facilitate it, and will be pushing his fellow tech tsars to do the same? #cse#csa#groomingangs
The #Grampians an inferno, the exquisite Victoria Valley scorched and our ‘leaders’ still not just failing to act with urgency but lying about it, their toadying up to planet wreckers still wanton. They want to get elected but they refuse to govern.

1/ We’ve been privileged to hear from @BuchananLiana on the response to child sexual abuse and exploitation, “I ask that we continue to remember all the different groups who might be less likely to get our attention in these reform efforts”
We are recruiting for a Senior Review and Inquiries Officer to review files and current policy, and draft inquiry reports recommending improvements to out-of-home-care and child protection. Applications close 18 November https://t.co/TsyD4pwlwk
These types of affairs:
- break trust in their office
- are secretive
- can be coercive
- destroys all professionalism at work
And it’s never the MP that leaves, it’s always the staffer.
Maybe that should change.
It’s time for the culture of parliament to change

Sam is not the first MP to have an affair with a staff member.
This isn’t blurring work boundaries, what most MPs fail to acknowledge is the power imbalance that exists.
Bosses give directions.
