John was physically imprisoned, but Herod was spiritually in chains. He was trapped, not by bars but by his own words.(Mat.14:1) The Gospel says he was "distressed," yet he still carried out the execution because of his oath. A person can wear a crown and still be a slave
@Nanyo_sae Those mothers are ignorant. I use both reusable and disposable nappies for my daughter. The most important thing is ensuring it is changed regularly. I usually teach my nursing students that mothers should be encouraged to use whichever one they can afford to avoid diaper rash
One of my friends recently reached out to me about the possibility of earning an online Master's degree from a Nigerian university. We brainstormed for a while but couldn't come up with many options. Eventually, he discovered that Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria offers an online MSc in his field of interest.
He applied, got admitted, and started the program.
A few weeks ago, I asked him how it was going. "It's far beyond my expectations. I thought it would be softer compared to a normal classroom setting, but mehn... it's rigorous and absolutely worth it."
I think he's about to begin-or may have already started-his second semester.
For people who want to continue working while earning an MSc, this seems like a really great opportunity.
This is pretty impressive.
As soon as Jesus cast the demons into the pigs, they perished in water (Mat.8:32) Even Pigs preferred death to Demonic possession. The image teaches symbolically that life under the dominion of evil always ends in destruction. Satan promises gain but ultimately destroys.
@youusayywhat@mrlurvy That's not true. My parents and their siblings don't have "Christian" names. My daughter also doesn't have. Her first name is also her baptismal name.
Mary of Nazareth, you lived a simple life of humble service. Intercede for us that we may perform our daily work with diligence, integrity, and love. Help us to see our work not merely as a responsibility but as an opportunity to glorify God and serve others. May every task we undertake become an act of worship and a witness to our Christian faith. Amen.
Are there areas of your life that feel tangled, delayed, broken, or beyond repair?
Join us for the Novena to Our Lady, Undoer of Knots from Wednesday 17th – 25th June as we bring every burden, family challenges, emotional wounds, and impossible situation before God through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Special Intentions:
• Family Liberation
• Divine Restoration
• Peace of Mind
No knot is too difficult for God. Come with your petitions and let us pray together.
Our Lady, Undoer of Knots, pray for us.

I had an issue with my care study writeup in the School of Nursing. The typist messed up. I prostrated in front of the Blessed Sacrament weeping. Clarity on the solution came. The fruit of the clarity became my first journal publication (first author) while still a student nurse.
Not an academic achievement.
But in the history of my school for over 73 years of existence, I started a literary and debating society for people to build themselves in public speaking and writing and we had our SECOND INDUCTION, last week Thursday.
