#NaPoWriMo Day 2
I don’t like the taste as much, no
It’s the memories it brings
And so on the days
When my mind wants to give up
Cover my face with a blanket
And just stay in bed
My heart craves nothing more
Than a perfect cup of hot chai

@pfaindia@Manekagandhibjp need some info on the rules for pets on societies. It's understandable that societies want to maintain cleanliness, and pets should be cleaned after or taken elsewhere for the nature's call. But can they completely ban pets from walking inside?
Bottled Sunshine
If I could capture the essence of the good, fleeting moments
I would grab them tight, with both my hands
Carefully plucking out all my feelings of love and joy
Stirred together, and I would bottle it up

Sometimes it becomes a little too much
The chaos and clutter of life
And when reality come knocking on the door
I close my eyes and say
Not today.

Day 2 of #NaPoWriMo - Forgiveness. Today's prompt was to write a poem which resists closure by ending on a question. I wrote about something very close to my heart.

Unpacking hurt - #NaPoWriMo Day 1
Don’t tell me to be brave.
Don’t tell me I’m weak.
Say it’s okay to hurt,
And let my heart heal,
In my cocoon of pain,
Till I emerge,
Stronger.
