Anger is a human emotion. All people express anger, including Black women. The problem is that some assume we are either always angry or that our anger is irrational, rather than a response to injustice
One thing about adulthood that way too many people learn way too late (and have no choice but to learn the hard way): you have to be deliberate/proactive about everything. For the first time in your life, you can't be passive participant in anything.
High empathy sucks cause when you understand why people are the way they are you realize most people aren't truly evil they're just dumb and incapable of viewing the world outside of their own experiences which makes it hard to truly hate them even if they are ugly inside.
Actually this is also why we're stuck in remake/reboot hell, young people with new ideas aren't allowed into the industry anymore.
Japan constantly scouts new talent while in the US it's just nepotism now.
I'm sure it's been talked about, but the fact that a show with a primarily Black cast is doing this well and is the best comedy on network television is absolutely amazing. Go, Quinta!
