New pet peeve: "Billion with a B". STOP THAT. Implying either you are inarticulate, I'm not listening, or that I couldn't figure out by context the orders of magnitude difference. I assure you, no one is making this mistake.
@NoetheMatt@speedofwhite I think it says a lot that no one would challenge Etel. She's been outstanding in the council. I hope every district elects someone they can be so proud of. I feel represented and I know if I have any issue that she would respond with action or explanation.
I appreciate the engineering of making cars intentionally backfire, and the opportunities for self expression it provides to the drivers. So long as it's not after 10pm, do it up! #unpopularopinion#worcester
C-Span's cameras and photographers did an amazing job throughout the 15 speaker votes and I want to add my voice to, well, everyone, who wished we had audio. This is just a sample of the gold we could have. Enjoy.
@TheRichFromCali His speech was reminiscent of Obama's DNC speech, and yes. He is a prospect for future presidential candidate, I really want to see how he handles his current job. He's so poetic, I think he could change some minds.
@pdmt99 "Other areas" a have very strong lobby. I believe the city does it's best to listen, but when money = speech, it's difficult to be heard as an individual. Not implying corruption per se, just the system sucks as is.
@TimJohnsonMN Blue moon was the winner of a homebrew competition, and while I agree it was the gateway for many, I think the real credit should go to Jimmy Carter and the homebrew act of 1977(?), without which, we would have 0 craft breweries. /rant
@ComedyBangBang@ScottAukerman@PFTompkins@TimKalpakis In all honesty, just a supercut of all the segments with off-mic laughter from @PFTompkins would be MY best-of. A laugh track of one that is theatrically astute so often feeds back to the rest. This is why I listen. His energy in the room elevates all.
@PintsandPanels I know it's not exactly your question but here in Worcester, @RR_BrewingCo is a B-corp that gives all their tips to a different charity every month (because they actually pay their staff a living wage).
@yennidesroches@NoetheMatt Why couldn't they just have a bake sale, or meat raffle, or clam bake or something that builds community. My small town fire dept. sponsored the beer tent at the carnival every year and it was a big part of their budget. Cops begging for $ is absurd.
