Throw light sticks at the Vaporizer to buy time to escape to cover. This works because throwing a grenade triggers its defense mechanism, causing it to stop attacking. Raiders just discovered that light sticks do the exact same trick!

New ARC Raiders Matchmaking Changes

1. Defending yourself is no longer treated the same as starting a fight:
Previously, your playstyle didn't capture whether you started a PvP encounter or merely defended yourself. Now this is changed and treated differently.

2. Low-activity rounds carry less weight in your playstyle history:
Rounds with little Topside interaction (like spawning and surrendering) used to impact a player’s estimated playstyle more than expected. Reducing their weight helps the system better reflect how you genuinely play when making choices.
