I'm 65. Why should a young woman date me? I am a pilot, I know how to make a good pan pizza (in a cast iron pan), I know how to cook bacon in the morning, and I will sing baritone to you when you orgasm.
Alissa Ellman, Democratic candidate for Congress in NY: You want to talk about DEI? You want to fire people over DEI? You know that disabled combat veterans are DEI hires?
Did you know there are people I worked with who couldn’t work other jobs because they had traumatic brain injuries, or were missing limbs, or had chronic health issues caused by their service to this country?
When politicians get on TV and preach about how much they love veterans, how about you really love veterans? How about you really love them and give them jobs? That gives us dignity. That gives us respect for ourselves and our lives
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. I know @realDonaldTrump and family did.
250 years ago we declared independence from a king who ran the colonies as a family business. In just 18 months the Trumps have made King George look like an amateur.
A $620 million Pentagon loan, the largest in the program’s history, to a company Don Jr.’s firm bought into three months before.
An Air Force drone contract to a startup the princelings took public through a golf course company they own a piece of.
The Army’s largest drone motor order ever, to a company where Don Jr. sits on the board and holds millions in stock.
A $24 million Pentagon robotics contract to the company that employs Eric as Chief Strategy Advisor.
A stake in the largest undeveloped tungsten deposit on earth, in Kazakhstan, backed by $1.6 billion in US government support.
Jared’s fund seeded with $2 billion from the Saudi crown prince, now $6.2 billion, 99% of it foreign money from Gulf governments. Over $110 million in fees collected from the Saudis alone. He negotiates American foreign policy with the governments that pay him.
$2.3 billion from crypto ventures their father regulates. More than a million people bought in and lost $2.3 billion. The money didn’t grow. It simply moved from the subjects pockets to the crown’s coffers.
And the next one is already drafted. A proposed ATF rule that will allow guns to be shipped straight to your front door. The government’s own estimate is 3.3 million home gun deliveries a year. Don Jr. sits on the board of the online gun megastore built to cash in. He holds 300,000 shares.
And that’s only the fraction they’ve allowed us to see. Not one subpoena served. Not one search executed. Why hide anything when you own the investigators?
Me? They searched a laptop for six years. Federal prosecutors. Grand juries. Subpoena power. Congressional hearings. They found nothing. I made about $200k a year selling paintings when my Dad was President, and they made my paintings part of an impeachment inquiry.
For six years they’ve asked Where’s Hunter? What about the laptop?
Wrong questions. The right one is 250 years old. Does America belong to a family?
They’ve given their answer. Long live the King.
The largest trading relationship in the Western Hemisphere, 1.6 trillion dollars in goods a year, just lost its guarantee of permanence, and the lever was built by the same man who just pulled it.
On 1st July, the United States refused to renew the USMCA, the North American trade pact which President Donald Trump signed in his first term and once called the fairest deal America ever made.
I suggest that you read the fine print, because nearly every headline has it wrong.
Nothing expired. No tariff moved on July 1st.
The pact stays fully in force until 2036.
What Washington declined was the optional 16-year extension, the button that would have locked the deal in for another generation. Refuse to press it, and the agreement flips into a new mode: an annual review, every year, for a decade, until the three countries either renew it or let it die in 2036.
One interesting detail makes this surgical rather than reckless. That annual-review clause was not imposed on Trump. He wrote it.
When Trump’s team replaced NAFTA in 2020, they baked in a joint-review mechanism with almost no precedent in trade history, a self-renewing pressure valve built into the treaty itself.
On July 1st he simply switched it on. The uncertainty is not a failure of the deal. It is the weapon designed into it.
That is why this cuts deeper than a tariff. A tariff is a number you can price. This is the removal of the horizon. Think!
A company weighing a plant meant to run 30 years now has to plan against a trade regime guaranteed for one. Auto lines whose parts cross these borders several times before a Car exists sit in the center of it. Capital can absorb a cost. It cannot absorb not knowing.
The irony runs deeper still too. President Trump's own tariffs drove companies to pull their supply chains out of China and into Mexico, and that migration did exactly what it was built to do, lifting the US goods deficit with Mexico to 196.9 billion dollars, the very figure the administration now waves as proof the deal is broken.
The policy manufactured its own grievance.
Then set his words against the facts. Trump said in June 2026, we do not need anything Canada has, we do not need anything Mexico has, but they need everything we have.
Trumps 51st state Canada is the single largest source of the crude oil the United States runs on, and both neighbors hold critical minerals America cannot yet supply for itself. The country that says it needs nothing imports the fuel in its own gas tank from the neighbor it claims to carry.
So this is where the continent stands. For 30 years, since NAFTA in 1994, North America traded as one market its members could build a future on. As of July 1st that future comes up for a vote every twelve months, on a clause its own architect installed for exactly this moment.
The rules have not changed. What changed is that nobody can promise they will hold a year from now, and a continent of factories, farms and supply chains has to live inside that sentence.
People who say “I can’t do that, it’s against my religion” are practicing religious freedom.
People who say “You can’t do that, it’s against my religion” are practicing authoritarianism.
I didn’t recite “with liberty and justice for all” every day as a kid just to be called a woke libtard for wanting liberty and justice for ALL as an adult. Some of you clearly weren’t listening.
Happy Fourth.
A lot of people are asking “why hide McConnell’s state? Not like a Dem would win the special election?”
If McConnell vacated before August 3rd cut off it’d be a special election and any one can register as an independent…
Including Massie.
Which would split the Republican vote, giving him or maybe even the Dem the chance at the plurality.
But, if McConnell’s seat is not vacated before the 3rd by legally stepping down or a signed death certificate, then it’s too close to the next election and rules prevent a special election which bars any new registrations at this point.
With McConnell’s wife having travelled to China AFTER he was hospitalized, the next of kin isn’t available to sign off and so the bar for ending life support is extremely high (would require full brain stem death, which is not present in some patients who are never coming back)
So all they have to do is drag their feet until August 3rd, then tell you that he didn’t make it.
And in turn block Massie from disrupting an otherwise safe Republican seat.
Just like that fucking old turtle would have wanted.
