@christiepday Almost every tool creates .m4a files - Google Slides only accepts .mp3! So frustrating! I have a work around I use on personal things - I'll check to see if those tools are approved.
@MsBraxtonTweets I just heard an amazing podcast from Reveal (NPR) about this topic, and how some southern historical sites and groups say "its complicated" try to promote and teach the "good side" of Slavery in America. https://t.co/n6z5MlbnAT
Thanks @MrsParkShine for the awesome idea! Now I get to spend two weeks recording silly dances and gestures to build up a library for my virtual classroom! Can't wait to meet my new students! #McLeanLearnsAtHome
My virtual classroom is ready to welcome my #newcomers! Replaced my #bitmoji w/ my REAL self b/c they need to know how I look like in real life!😂
I used https://t.co/38gbEKKC9f to remove background & added the video to G Slides
Thanks for the inspiration @luciashelleym
@UniverseAndMore@ArborSci **Sigh** Might be a good assignment to have students identify all of the inaccuracies though! Students want to believe anything said with confidence on a well produced video.
Attempting to do physics demos at your kitchen table can make things a little messy! Using chalk breaking as a conceptual introduction to Work and Energy! Used @PearDeck to get student ideas on how to break the chalk! #leapoflearning
Students are using their Critical and Creative Thinking #fcpsPoG skills to characterize the motion of a spinning object. Open inquiry lab with no instructions - only an objective! #activelearning@fcpsaap
Physics students are encouraged to visualize their thinking on whiteboards. They present solutions and reasoning using multiple representations. Students reflect on how their reasoning compares to that of their classmates. #leapoflearning#visiblethinking@mcleanhigh
@SJDJ@UniverseAndMore Also literally all I do as a physics teacher:
No.
No.
Well its not as simple as that.
No.
We tend to ignore this.
No.
No.
That's a little too complicated for us to explain.
No.
No.
Don't use that word; we haven't learned it yet.
Today we used reaction time data (collected from the school population) to map out how far a car would travel before ta driver hits their brakes! Our goal is to determine a safe speed limit for school roads. #PBL#leapoflearning#activelearning@mcleanhigh
Using @PearDeck to encourage sts to reflect on their learning and to create flexible groupings in AP Physics 1. I gave some students extension questions, some students got paired up to work together, and some students worked directly with me. #blendedlearning#FCPSon
@MrsLanghorne@mcleanhigh@langleyfcps Q2: I have students organize their Digital Files in an "Interactive Digital Notebook" where they reflect and make connections between units and assignments. Here is the template: https://t.co/tmCdShE17j (We have only just started Unit 3) #tweetandeat
@MrsLanghorne@mcleanhigh@langleyfcps@DrFishTeaches Q5: I learned how to host my Flipped Classroom videos on EdPuzzle. It's a great way to keep students accountable for information and embed formative assessment into the videos. It also tells me if students have re-watched any parts of the videos. #tweetandeat
