The BBC exposed a Telegram channel run by a 40-year-old teacher from Voronezh who recruited several hundred men from third world countries to fight in the war against Ukraine. Polina Azarnykh offers men a one-year contract in the rear, a salary of $2,500 and Russian citizenship.

[Kremlingram @Kremlingram]

The employment contracts were written only in Russian, which the men do not understand, and according to Russian law of 2022, military contracts can be automatically extended until the end of the war.

[Kremlingram @Kremlingram]

Since 2021, Telegram has issued $4 billion in bonds. Durov has already redeemed part of them, but $500 million has been blocked due to sanctions against Russia. The financial situation of the platform can hardly be called stable.

The Financial Times writes that Telegram still relies on money from Russian investors. But whatever happens, it's still a great place to read the news there!
