🇿🇦WHY SOUTH AFRICA BELONGS TO US ALL!🇿🇦 There's a narrative on Twitter, that urges white South Africans, to go back to Europe because Africa belongs to Africans! Europe isn't a country. Neither is Africa. 👇👇👇 1488 - Bartolomeu Dias, PORTUGUES navigator discovered the Cape of Good Hope and makes contact with the natives. 1510 - The Battle of Salt River was the first documented encounter between the PORTUGUES and African natives (No Jan van Riebeeck wasn't here first) 1652 - Dutch East India established a refreshment station, and thereafter a colony, at the Cape. The name "Boer" was born as the colony grew in size. These people were farmers. 1795 - Dutch Republic gets invaded by France and becomes a puppet state, which leads to The BRITISH invading the Cape 1814 - Napolean gets defeated and Anglo-Dutch Treaty is signed and Dutch colonies are returned to the Netherlands, except for the Cape of Good Hope and some South American colonies. Boers were now living under BRITISH rule and the Dutch language becomes outlawed as an administrative language. I'd like to pause here for a second and note the origins and intentions of the Boer at this point, and all of this, up until 1814, is happening in and around the Cape Colony. The DUTCH farmers that settled here are now cut off from their homeland, alone in a foreign land, under British rule and constant attacks from native tribes. No Boer is plundering Africa and massacring Africans. 1835 - Tired of British rule and no assistance, The Boer, embarks on "Die Groot Trek". DIE VOORTREKKERS leaves the Cape Cologny and moves inland into Africa. To emphasize the plight of the Boers during their migration north, note the following: 1836 - The Janse van Rensburg Trek massacre. 49 Voortrekkers are killed by an impi of Manukosi. 1838 - Piet Retief Delegation massacre. 100 Boers killed ordered by Dingane, a Zulu chieftain. The place, at kwaMatiwane Hill, was a site where Dingane had thousands of other enemies executed. Voortrekker leader Piet Retief was killed last. The treaty handing over a tract of land to the Voortrekkers signed between Dingane and Piet Retief two days before the massacre was later found on Retief's remains. A copy of the original still exists. 1838 - Weenen massacre. 532 Boers, women, and children were murdered by Khoikhoi and Basuto The Piet Retief Massacre and the Weenen Massacre was the motivation for the Voortrekkers to confront the Zulus in battle on 16 December 1838 when 470 Voortrekkers fought against an estimated 15,000 to 21,000 Zulus; which the Voortrekkers won. The battle is known as the Battle of Blood River. Due to the rise of the ZULU KINGDOM and KING SHAKA's Mfecane / Difaqane massacres of native tribes, large amounts of land were left unpopulated. The Zulus slaughtered an estimated 1 -2.5 MILLION natives long before any European even got close to them which renders the argument of whites killing and plundering mute. There was no happy Wakanda forever as some might like you to believe. Because of this, the Boers managed to form 2 new republics. The Orange Freestate and the South African Republic (Transvaal). 1850 - Britain recognizes the new republics, but diamond deposit discoveries, lead to new tensions between the Boer states and the British. 1877 - Nearing bankruptcy and under constant threat from the Zulu kingdom, The Boer Republics sought protection from the British and were annexed out of fear. 1879 - Britain continues to expand into Africa and annexes the Zulu Kingdom. After this event, many Boers began to speak out against British Rule and so the 1st Boer War begins. 10 000 Soldiers under Paul Kruger, declare independence once again from the British, which results in the British sending their troops into Transvaal. The Boers fought them off. 1881 - A treaty is signed in which the British officially recognize the Boer Republics as independent. JUST AS THE WAR ENDED THE SCRAMBLE FOR AFRICA BEGAN! GERMANY, ITALY, FRANCE & PORTUGAL moved into the African continent and began invading and threatening British dominance in South Africa. The British organizes a rebellion in Transvaal after a large number of Gold deposits are discovered, but this failed and encouraged the Boers to import more firearms. 1899 - Fearing a German/Boer alliance, the British built up forces on the edges of the Boer Republic. Refusing an ultimatum from the Boers for the British to withdraw, war was declared, and so began the 2nd Boer War. During the early stages of the war, the British were not ready and the Boers won numerous battles against them. The British however continued to send more troops from the British mainland, which eventually led to the capture of Johanessburg. A Gorilla war was launched by Koos de la Rey as the British set up thousands of outposts across South Africa to defend supply lines. The British also burned thousands of native villages and crops in fear that it could aid the gorilla forces. Gorilla Boer forces that were captured, were placed into concentration camps, and others are shipped off. 1902 - The Boer Wars come to an end. Peace was made and the Boer Republics were annexed. IN CLOSING ------------- FOR ALMOST 400 YEARS, The Boers have been searching for a homeland. Moving, building, and fighting off attacks. WE ARE NOT English. WE ARE NOT Portuguese. We ARE NOT British. We ARE NOT Dutch as the Cape Colony was never returned. WE ARE NOT FRENCH. We stopped being European a long time ago. STOP TELLING US TO GO TO EUROPE. We're as little part of Europe as the Zulus are of Nigeria. Don't tell me about Wakanda and Pan-Africanism. There was never such a thing and never will be. Our forefathers were all oppressed in some way or another, you, black child, are not special. They all bled on this soil. They all fought to be a part of it and there's a freedom here that everyone born of that history deserves. The Zulus and the Boers have played pivotal roles in making SA what it is today. None of us, without our flaws. Don't let these modern-day imposters like @Julius_S_Malema and his Pan-African zombies come here and tell you nonsense while fighting for open borders. South Africa doesn't belong to Africans. It belongs to South Africans. Wakanda se poes.
