“Don’t worry, you’ll find someone someday.”
Maybe I will. Maybe I won’t. But the loneliness I feel is very real right now. And the reality is I don’t have someone to hold me, to love me. Being hopeful for a partner in the future doesn’t negate my desire for companionship now. My feelings are valid.
And if you’re feeling the same way, yours are valid too.
Some people are just...living. They're not dating anyone. No crush. No one waiting for their texts. They scroll endlessly from app to app with no one to talk to, then go to work, come home, eat, sleep, and repeat it all again the next day.
We can't date casually. We can't casually have sex. There's nothing casual about being in my space. I'm a real lover.
There is nothing casual about my intimacy. There is nothing casual about my heart.
my therapist said “people who struggle with anxiety & depression can't remember a lot, bc they're too busy focusing on how to get through each moment so they don t actually experience what is happening to them, causing them to not form the memory they were supposed to” felt that.
