@JacksonMM052904 @alenarojikova@Brcremer Wrong. If it weren't for the "big old mean gov't," there would be a whole lot more homeless people, starving people, & people unable to work due to health issues. You've been lied to about "gov't."
@JacksonMM052904 @Brcremer 2/ taking care of it's own members, much less the surrounding neighborhood. The church is incapable of providing food for everyone in need. They certainly don't provide medical coverage or housing support. The church has never done any of this. This is why the gov't is needed.
@JacksonMM052904 @Brcremer 1/ I left the church in the '80's because the church & their school that I grew up in could only blame me for being sick. For being born with an autoimmune disease. They never once tried to see if I needed any help. They literally blamed me. The church has never been able/good at
@nakedpastor I'm so very sorry, David. Mine passed unexpectedly in '98. I still miss him so much every day, but I try to focus on the love we shared. I pray that you feel his love surround you during this time. You and your family are in my prayers.
@CaringHeartSoul@DecodingFoxNews I *think* the problem with doing this is that their followers will still be able to see their reply to you. By blocking like that, you are the only one who won't see it. I think.
@kdl_for @EastEndJoe@DecodingFoxNews@donkeith434 They can do that even if you block them. If you go to someone's TL that you've blocked, you can see a button that allows you to still view their tweets. Blocking just keeps them from contacting you. I think the real dif between M&B is that they are unaware of M, but know B.
@SurdoOppedere@broadwaybabyto I live in the US. I went to the ER a few weeks ago after tremendous stomach & abdominal pain. Was in the hospital for a week. Yet, I needed a test done to determine what happened. Had to wait a month after being released to get it done. Don't act like we don't wait here.
@slevasseur69@MAGACult2 And, yet, we are still not a Christian nation. Just because a Christian makes something, it doesn't make that "thing" Christian. If we were actually a Christian nation following the teachings of Jesus, most con Christians wouldn't like it as seen by their reaction to SNAP.
@slevasseur69@MAGACult2 Who's "us?" Sorry to break it to 'ya, but I am a Jesus follower and can still understand that the US isn't a Christian nation. If it were & we were actually following Jesus' teachings, con Christians wouldn't like it very much.
@AFMcCann@MAGACult2 Sorry for the delay in responding, but been quite ill.
Both 1A & the Treaty of Tripoli (article 11) both say we are not a Christian nation.

@MickMoyes@Brcremer Hmm......I guess someone should have told Joseph that (before, of course, God placed him in a gov't role where he could collect food from the citizens to hand out to citizens in need when needed by them at a later date. Kind of like SNAP of that time).
@slevasseur69@MAGACult2 I had no idea the founding founders were still alive in 1864 when the slogan first appeared on a 2 cent coin. It was much later when it appeared elsewhere. No founding fathers involved.

@AFMcCann@MAGACult2 And, yet, they didn't make the USA a Christian nation. Choosing who and how (or not at all) too worship was part of the freedoms they were establishing.
@gamefreepls@TakedownTERFS@broadwaybabyto Instead of a verse, how about the story of Joseph? It's a pretty big story in the Bible. God places a guy into gov't where he collects food from everyone so that, later on, people will be fed when they need it. Consider it SNAP of the day.
@BorkBork92@broadwaybabyto I don't know the percentage, but I know that I'd be one of them. I'm also not unique. I have no way to get there & am too sick to try. Also, I couldn't eat what they gave me. Disability included A LOT of different health issues. Many of them are invisible to the regular person.
@BorkBork92@broadwaybabyto Lots of ppl (especially seniors/disabled) are house bound and/or lack transportation. Many people don't have family to help. Also, many who wouldn't be able to use the food given to them b/c they're too ill to cook it or have health issues where they can't eat just anything.
