@ThetfordSteven Go with the Neptune Society. My Dad prepaid for his through them and when he died in 2016 it was super easy. They were great to deal with. They handled everything from death certificates to getting his veteran benefits (flag, letter from the president, etc).

Everything is walkable, great independent stores & restaurants, there was a band playing in the town square. Only had 24 hrs, but can't wait to go back!

@GinaGoesOutside The blister beetle is bigger than he looks, he was about 1 1/2” long, but I was not going to put my hand anywhere near it!! The desert hairy scorpions we have here are very docile.

@ThetfordSteven Yes, it was pretty miserable. We went swimming, but only lasted about 15 minutes. Keeping your head above the water felt like it was being roasted!
That number is low too, the "official" reading is down at the airport, 60' off the ground, in the shade!
