@DarioAmodei on big promises. It means acting in a way that indicates that the well-being of others is important, not just the creation of AI. #5CapitalsofCapitalism
@DarioAmodei wouldn't trust you, Anthropic, or even the cure for cancer. Even if the cure for cancer worked 100% of the time. Because to gain (or repair) trust, you have to be consistently trustworthy. Please, PLEASE consider what it means to be trust*worthy*. It isn't just about delivering
The additional strategy here is that she can tell each suitor it's actually the fault of the fact that there are so many suitors and they should encourage others to drop out so it could go faster. I bet she started with more suitors but they weren't all willing to wait.
People are sometimes like, "How did Penelope weave and unweave the same funeral shroud for 10 years before her suitors caught on that it was a trick?" but realistically, these men knew shit about weaving, for all they knew, it was just how long weaving takes. #odyssey
Also, she was hosting 108 suitors plus their attendants & entourage, what's her output, like, 2 threads per day? No one would know if she was unweaving it, and it wouldn't even take that long.
Do we really need to wait until next March to give Tom Cruise the best leading actor Oscar for Digger? I say we give it to him now off the back of the trailer so no one else has to attempt to campaign for it
@Ad_Recruiter@FanthropologyLA A few years ago, studios wondered if Gen Z would care care about seeing movies in theaters. I was doing reports to prove they loved seeing movies in theaters - but only if they really resonated with them. Now they're revitalizing the industry - you love to see it!
Someone at the LA Metro had the brilliant idea of before/after pictures for Sepulveda Pass, making it easy to understand that it has to be Alts 5 or 6, because everything else is aesthetically hideous. https://t.co/RXhuhJdKdh
@Ad_Recruiter Anora's an indie that's really for everyone rather than for a niche audience. It understands that the assignment isn't just art but also appeal - this should be the standard all Best Pictures try to meet.
@BillAckman@X@EPotterMD@UHC I'm not generally a fan of billionaires, but this is a banger of a post, and demonstrates a level of ethics and care for others that we rarely see these days.
@starswheeled I would love to see Paddington in the fountains, at Cirque, on a gondola ride, at a buffett, on the Pirate ship, etc. endless possibilities.
@Cade_Onder The lying about the start time of the movie is a positive. Early people get to enjoy some trailers and snacks while waiting calmly for late people, rather than waiting anxiously in the lobby. Everyone wins.
