The Weibo account of https://t.co/9n7596RPg4 published a clear timeline documenting events related to the incident of Kris Wu (https://t.co/QdrlYHHVZS ), dating from Dec 5, 2020 when DMZ and Kris Wu met for the first (and only) time. See below for translation of the infographic👇🏻
(Oh yes Kris Wu’s mother’s statement - posted by his company’s official weibo account - was detected & censored all over Chinese social media; Weibo hot topics related to “letting his mother speak”, are deemed “illegal” on Weibo)
Allegedly, in spring 2022, #KrisWu’s lawyer viewed and compared Feng Meng’s conditions in different interrogation footages and suspected coercion. It seems as if Feng Meng was “in an extremely bad state”, and that “her mental state was strange” in video footage provided by police
She also stated: The other two victims (not DMZ) never pressed charges or called the police themselves, they were summoned by Chinese police. There was proof they were also bragging to friends after sex. Witnesses testifying the victims were not drunk were all rejected by court.
Ex-Best Friend Of Du Meizhu Claims That The Influencer Accused Kris Wu Of Sex Crimes For Money; Says She Will Testify Against Meizhu In Court https://t.co/FZlR1RmBuQ
Is Du Meizhu (#DMZ) an alleged victim of sexual assault or “cold violence” (i.e. ghosting) or being cheated on? #KrisWu
A thread of dates, events and various contradictory accusations 👇🏻
@fenryon @LumeTeresa@Shan2931 Chinese court ruled what happened on Dec 5, 2020 between KW and DMZ as sexual assault, but oddly the court excluded the one witness Liu Meili, who was also a co-planner of DMZ’s online allegations, who could prove DMZ always told her since Dec 7, 2020 she was simply dating him.
The following Wechat screenshots between DMZ & Liu Meili were included in Liu’s June 2 post to prove DMZ’s alleged romantic relationship with Wu. On July 22, Police confirmed the exposé was co-planned by DMZ and Liu Meili “to increase popularity online” (https://t.co/pnbWL4ijmt).
On Feb 20, 2023, Li En confirmed during a stream on Douyin (ID: LIEN58), she signed a witness agreement with #KrisWu’s second-instance defense attorneys to be a witness in Wu’s appeal. She asserted it is up to the court whether to accept her as a witness, but she is optimistic.
@fenryon @LumeTeresa@Shan2931 The specific case of DMZ is that she met KW once, following day she told her friend she was in a romantic relationship with him; then her first public allegation was that he cheated on her, but a month later, she recanted her claims and insisted she was sexually assaulted instead
On Dec 5 2020, DMZ met Kris Wu for the first and only time at a party. Sources: Pic 1 is Wu’s personal statement published on July 19, Pic 2 is the police statement from July 22 describing their relations, Pic 3 is an alleged screenshot between DMZ and Liu Meili posted on June 2.
@LumeTeresa @fenryon @Shan2931 Wechat records between DMZ and Fu Weifeng (her former manager) show, on Aug 1, 2021, one day after #KrisWu was detained, DMZ told Fu “if his mom hadn’t been so vicious to me then, I wouldn’t really want him to go to jail”, that she used to like him a lot and she was sad about it.
On July 22 2021, right after the police announcement (https://t.co/pnbWL4ijmt) painted her as a clout chaser and confirmed neither DMZ nor any other alleged victims reported any allegations against Wu, DMZ posted on her weibo describing her alleged sexual assault then deleted it.
@LumeTeresa @fenryon @Shan2931 Many real SA victims do not file a report due to various reasons but no amount of mental gymnastics can justify DMZ posting online she was ghosted by her boyfriend first, and only claiming she was raped by him after his mom reported her for extortion & blackmail of 8 million yuan
1st recording: DMZ claimed to have asked for 8 million RMB from #KrisWu himself.
Note: Chaoyang police told The Beijing News on July 22, 2021, DMZ never directly contacted Wu and a scammer Liu X Tiao deceived both sides. Source: https://t.co/JG0QovuaA1
@fenryon @Shan2931 It is true most Chinese netizens still believe KW’s guilty verdict despite them believing DMZ to be faking her victimhood, as they do not believe she was involved in his lawsuit at all. She even had to delete the post where she acknowledged she was determined by court as a victim
DMZ published a post thanking the Chinese justice system and explained how she endured attacks from fans & her former “friends”. Admitting she was a victim who exposed truths & defended her own rights, she was sorry her demand of a public apology from Wu in the lawsuit wasn’t met
@fenryon @Shan2931 Actually, recently DMZ was trending on Weibo many times, general consensus from Chinese netizens is she is no real SA victim due to her very public lies (she first claimed to be cheated on before she claimed she was raped by him; lied about depression, not entering showbiz etc.)
On June 2 2021, Liu Meili and Li En posted on weibo a series of texts and screenshots (pic 1&2) claiming DMZ was in a relationship with Kris Wu and was ghosted by him since April and got depressed. On June 3, DMZ confirmed what Liu and Li posted was authorized by herself (pic 3).
Though we are unable to confirm the news officially, it is meaningful that former accomplices who once helped DMZ lodge allegations against #KrisWu are now publicly announcing their involvement in his appeal as key witnesses against DMZ, one of the SA victims determined by court.
Information from the informant also shows that, Du Meizhu’s former friends Li En, Liu Meili and ghostwriter Xu Chi did not testify in the Kris Wu trial. Liu Meili had signed a testimony agreement, but the court did not accept her as a credible witness.
Throughout a series of Douyin streams from November to January, Xu had also claimed Wu’s auntie was in contact with different professional criminal defense lawyers ever since the verdict dropped, and that she hired competent & experienced defense attorneys for his upcoming appeal
@LumeTeresa I don’t know why these two departments were involved in a case that is supposed to be handled by the judicial system to begin with, but at least an internal review is good news; who knows, maybe the new administration prioritizes justice of the procedure more than public opinion?
It is alleged Chinese government departments, including Publicity Department of the Central Committee of CCP, and Cyberspace Administration of China & Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, will undergo a major personnel change among mid- and high-level officials.
It is also rumored that lately, the Canadian Embassy in China has also been actively following up on the #KrisWu case with the Chinese judicial authorities, more so than previously, leaving China feeling pressured.
Note 2: Cyberspace Administration of China & Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission (中央网信办) were at a time directly responsible for handling netizens’ mass reports of #KrisWu, which resulted from DMZ’s viral online allegations taking place on Weibo in July, 2021
BREAKING NEWS from Beijing: Kris Wu is in police custody for being suspected of rape, following police investigations regarding netizens’ report that he “lured young women into having sex multiple times”. Further investigations are still being carried out.
