Shri Hardeep Puri ji has said your gasket may have to be changed in 30,000 kms instead of 50,000. Are our vehicles their ministries ke "Baap ka Maal"!
Till yesterday Nitin Gadkari ji was challenging us get one person just one who is affected by E20-blended petrol ? What if the vehicle has aged parents, young kids or a pregnant women or just you & it breaks down! What about the inconvenience?

One - there is a drop in mileage especially vehicles manufactured prior to 2023. Drop is real and worth noticing.
Personally seen drop from 13 to 11 kmph in 2018 model car using normal e20 petrol. Mileage becomes better when using Speed or XP95 fuel ( I know it is also e20, but with higher octane value + additives) .
Two - since you claim testing has been done, give out actual data instead of using weasel words like “no real mileage hit” and “barely worth noticing”

पेट्रोलियम मंत्री हरदीप पुरी से पूछा गया कि वाहन चालकों को E10 या E0 पेट्रोल इस्तेमाल करने का विकल्प क्यों नहीं दिया जाए।

इस पर उनका जवाब था,

"विकल्प हमेशा बेहतर चीज़ का होना चाहिए। मैंने कभी नहीं सुना कि लोग किसी अधिक नुकसानदेह चीज़ पर वापस जाने का विकल्प मांग रहे हों।"

कोई मंत्री जी को याद दिलाए कि देश-दुनिया में सरकारें शराब जैसी नुकसानदेह चीज़ में भी कई विकल्प उपलब्ध कराती हैं, जबकि उससे शरीर खराब होता है।

इसमें मेरा सुझाव यह रहेगा कि पेट्रोल पंपों पर E20 के साथ, शराब की बोतलों की तर्ज पर एक वैधानिक चेतावनी के साथ E0 और E10 पेट्रोल भी उपलब्ध कराया जाए।

स्कोडा के ऑथराइज्ड शोरूम ने भी साफ तौर पर इसकी वजह एथेनॉल को ही बताया है।
