Does anyone have a list of all the companies that are trying to blackmail Elon into suppressing free speech on X so I can stop using their products? Elon is right. These advertisers only care about the perception of doing good, not actually being good. It’s complete nonsense that these advertisers “don’t feel comfortable” advertising on X. Comfort, conscience, and morality have never played much of a role Fortune 500 business decisions at the highest levels. This is about censorship, power, and a coordinated attempt to silence Elon, the loudest voice of reason and common sense in the world. These people don’t want common sense or reason to flourish because consumers are easier to manipulate and control when we’re scared, insecure, and uninformed. That’s how advertisers sell things to us, and it has always been that way. Elon has done more to protect the environment (and increase human health from air quality alone) than any human on earth by forcing the world’s transition to clean energy and transportation when everyone said it couldn’t be done and relentless attacked him. Take a look at the air quality in any large Asian city or near a peaking power plant facility. All of that air enters people’s lungs and reduces both quality of life and lifespan for hundreds of millions of souls. Elon has done, and will continue to do, more than any human on earth to solve this problem so we can all fucking breath again, or not be awakened throughout the night from loud internal combustion engines. But he tweeted something controversial, so Elon bad. Elon has earned his voice on the global stage. Those who are trying to take it away from him, including some of his own investors, are either not systems thinkers who see themselves as separate from the rest of humanity, or they are outright enemies of the people who are trying to redefine Elon as a figure of hate right before our eyes. Nothing could be further from the truth. He’s the most humanitarian human on earth. I care more about the things Elon cares about (freedom, reason, morality, humanity, etc.) than my own fortune, and I always have.
