Two Sons of This Soil. One Refused to Let Kasab Go. One Refused to Let a Plane Fall. History Will Remember Both.
Tukaram Omble took a hail of bullets from Kasab, held on till the last breath, and captured him alive.
That one act shattered the planned “Hindu terror” lie.
Captain Smit Machchhar was stabbed in the cockpit, still fought back, opened the door, and saved 174 lives.
Same fire. Same refusal to let go. Two sons of this soil who did more in minutes than speeches ever could.
Forever grateful.
If you think India has just found its first hero, history would disagree.
From the 21 who stood at Saragarhi, to Major Shaitan Singh and the men of Rezang La, to Abdul Hamid at Asal Uttar, India’s history is filled with extraordinary acts of courage.
This pilot does not stand apart from that history. He stands proudly within it.
India has never had to search for heroes. It has a history of producing them…

Most people think inviting Maa Lakshmi means only doing puja on Fridays or during Diwali.
But Devi Lakshmi responds more to how we live every single day than to occasional rituals.
Here are simple, practical ways to invite her energy into daily life. A thread. Read on. 👇
AFZAL KHAN CAME TO TULJAPUR.
He smashed the idol of Tulja Bhavani, kuladevi of the Bhonsles. Sri Bhavani was broken into pieces, thrown into a hand-mill and pounded into dust. A cow was slaughtered in front of the temple.
He was dead within weeks at Pratapgad.
THE TEMPLE WAS RESTORED.
Shivprabhat 🙏🏽
Madurai's Meenakshi Sundareshwara Temple is celebrating its grand Maha Kumbabhishekam right now, but most people have no idea how close this temple came to disappearing completely...
In the 14th century, Sultanate forces marched south to Pandyan lands, looting temples and destroying deities on the way. The king fled the capital. With no royal protection left, the city's priests knew the temple wouldn't survive an open confrontation.
They decided to do something brilliant.
The Sthanikars, the temple caretakers, sealed the main shrine with a stone wall, putting up a false Lingam in front of it. Goddess Meenakshi was hidden on top of the shrine’s vimana, and several other deities were buried underground to keep them safe.
Still, someone had to stay behind. That job went to the priest of the Kariyamanikka Perumal shrine. He remained in a city under foreign occupation, guarding a god he couldn't openly worship, with no army and no guarantee he'd survive the years ahead.
The Madurai Sultanate ruled over the city for a gruelling period of around 48 years!
The 14 gopuras and several shrines were destroyed during this period, along with the Kariyamanikka Perumal shrine. The people were subjected to many horrors, as recorded in Ibn Battuta's and Ganga Devi's writings.
According to the Madhura Vijayam, Goddess Meenakshi herself appealed to the Vijayanagara Prince Kampana, urging him to free Madurai from foreign rule. She says:
“The coconut trees of Madurai have been cut down by these intruders, and in place of these, we have gruesome substitutes in the form of iron sula, which are adorned with garlands of decapitated human heads...”
Prince Kampana led a campaign to reclaim the Tamil lands from the Madurai Sultanate, restoring all the affected temples. When he reopened the sanctum of the Madurai temple, he saw a divine miracle.
The lamp lit decades ago was still burning bright! The flowers and decoration of the deity hadn't wilted at all!
Even today, you can see the decoy Lingam in the temple’s ardha mandapa, bearing the marks of the Sultanate swords. It is a reminder of what our ancients did to keep this temple alive for our generation.
Let us honour and remember our ancestors' countless sacrifices. Without them, we wouldn't have this temple today.
🙏🇮🇳 I’m an Australian 🦘 maths historian and I’m tired of watching the West take the applause for ideas India already had.
Baudhāyana before Pythagoras.
Āryabhaṭa before Galileo.
Brahmagupta before the West even accepted zero as a number.
Madhava before Newton.
Pingala before Fibonacci.
Ramanujan etc.
Yet still the textbooks bow to Europe first.
India’s gurus and rishis were not a footnote. Their ideas were copied, thinned out, renamed, and then sold back to Indian children as “Western maths.”
So I’m asking Indians directly:
If you could attend a talk by any 🇮🇳 Indian mathematician, living or historical, who I’ve mentioned on my X, who would you choose and why?
Reply with the name.
Tag a student, a teacher, or a parent who still thinks maths began in Greece.
If this history was hidden from you in school, this post is for you.
RT so the next generation hears the real names first.
Jai Hind.

Imagine a tea stall where every cup of chai comes with a promise — free milk for infants up to 18 months old.
Since 1990, Shravan Kumar from Nalanda saw a simple need in his community and turned it into a lifelong mission of love and care.
When mothers struggled to feed their babies, Shravan didn’t wait for others to help. He gave milk freely, one glass at a time.
People wanted to donate and support his cause, but Shravan humbly refused, believing this was his personal service to humanity.
After he passed away, his brothers took over this beautiful tradition, with Ranjit Kumar, known as Tunna Baba, now serving up to 3 liters daily and even more during busy seasons.
This spirit of selfless kindness continues to nourish families at the Rajgir Bus Stand, proving that small acts can leave a big impact.

If any Western Army had pulled something like this off for a casevac in a vintage helicopter manufactured in the 60s, their entire state machinery would’ve gone bonkers praising their own & would’ve called it the sortie of the century. Most folks don’t fully realise that the probability of not coming back from such a flight for the pilots is more than a safe return. Next time in an airshow near you, try if you can get a glimpse of the Cheetah’s cockpit. A Maruti Swift dashboard has more components on it.
And yet, our warriors go on and on. Probably landed back, made a good night call home & went to sleep, woke up today for business as usual. Probably both pilots in their late twenties or thirties. Unreal commitment to duty & professionalism. Indian Army for you.
🚨Why does China Want Arunachal Pradesh, Nepal , Sikkim & Bhutan ? 👇
👉The answer lies in deep Ingrained Thirst.
🚨 Do you know why Congress is openly Supporting China ?
🚨 In the year 2008, Congress & the Communist Party of China had signed a MoU to Enhance Party-to-Party Ties!
🚨Ever heard a Word from Rahul & INCIndia on how China Destroying Himalayas ?
🚨 So Don't be Surprised even if Sonia Gandhi Orders her PIDIs to Fight Against Indian Army !!

A woman one month into a new job at the FDA was handed an application to approve a sleeping pill. It looked routine. They gave it to her because she was new and it seemed like an easy one to start on.
She read the file and something was missing. No evidence at all that the drug was safe in pregnancy, and it was being sold as a remedy for morning sickness. The drug was thalidomide, and West Germany was getting through a million doses a day.
Frances Kelsey asked for more data. The company sent representatives to her office, then telephoned her at all hours, then went over her head to her supervisors. Between them they contacted her and her boss around fifty separate times. She later said most of what they called her could not be printed. Ten million tablets were already sitting in warehouses waiting for her signature.
She said no six times. And while she held the line, doctors in Germany and Australia were piecing together what was happening to babies whose mothers had taken it. Limbs that had never formed, hands and feet attached directly at the shoulder and hip, in at least 4,000 children across Europe. The company withdrew its American application in 1962.
Seventeen cases turned up in the United States, all from free samples doctors had handed out before any approval. Without her it would have been thousands.
Congress passed a new law that same year requiring companies to prove a drug is both safe and effective, and requiring informed consent from anyone in a trial. Those rules are now used worldwide. Kennedy gave her the highest civilian award in the country and she was the second woman ever to receive it. She stayed at the FDA another 45 years and died in 2015 at 101.
Every American woman handed a pill in pregnancy is downstream of one woman refusing to sign a form six times while men shouted at her.

Trust me the day atleast 50%+ of Hindu men start working out here, Hindu Rashtra will be unstoppable.
If H men in every area gather few times a week at Vyayamshala it'll boost community strength.
Street power will be automatically created.
Best way to Nvke 0.5 Front.
On Feb 3, 2019, PM Modi formally dedicated a massive piece of high altitude infrastructure to the nation: the Srinagar-Alusteng-Drass-Kargil-Khaltsi-Leh 220 kV Transmission Line.
Built by POWERGRID across ~335 km at a cost of ~₹2,266 crore, the project integrated the connected areas of Leh and Kargil into India’s National Electricity Grid for the very first time.
Before 2019, the region relied on an isolated local setup.
- During harsh Himalayan winters, river discharge fell sharply.
- Run of river stations like NHPC’s Nimoo-Bazgo (45 MW) and Chutak (44 MW) which operate without large storage reservoirs saw generation plunge, while smaller regional streams froze over.
- To keep lights on and critical services running when mountain passes closed, millions of liters of diesel fuel had to be stockpiled before winter set in.
The real engineering challenge to build this...
- The transmission line crosses Zoji La (~11,580 ft / 3,530 m) and Fotu La (~13,480 ft / 4,110 m), with peak tower elevations reaching up to 13,500 feet.
- POWERGRID collaborated with DRDO’s Snow & Avalanche Study Establishment (SASE) to site towers away from active slide paths and design heavy-duty chimney foundations capable of handling snow-pack creep in avalanche-prone corridors like Gagangir and Zoji La.
- Reduced air density at high altitudes lowers the dielectric strength of air, increasing the risk of electrical arcing. Engineers mitigated this by expanding line clearances and redesigning insulator strings on overhead sections, while deploying compact Gas-Insulated Substations (GIS) at Drass, Kargil, Khaltsi, and Leh.
- Construction was restricted to short 4-5 month summer windows, relying on airlift and manual haulage on roadless stretches.
The 2019 commissioning was not the end of the story, but the crucial foundation: It provided major urban centers in Leh and Kargil with stable, year-round grid power, drastically cutting urban winter reliance on diesel.
Outlying regions like Zanskar, Nubra, and parts of the Changthang plateau were not connected overnight; they required subsequent extension projects branching off this primary line.
It remains one of the most complex high-altitude electrical transmission projects ever completed in India, silently keeping the power flowing over some of the most formidable mountain passes in the world.
Bharat is rising. 🙏🙏
