Most of the big nations don’t tax the income of their soldiers who serve in combat zones (the entire income stays tax free) because they know their soldiers are taking up all the dangers while the nation sleeps in cozy quilts and stays carefree and secure

But here in India a new regulation has been introduced by @nsitharaman that even the disabled soldiers will be taxed

The regulation also includes that if a soldier is even posted in Siachen and if he developed hypertension kind of lifestyle disease due to conditions of service at Siachen, that can’t be counted as a disability

PS - Our Short Service commission officers don’t even get the basic health care post their release after 10 years, and we are the fourth largest economy.
