I like to work on songs in 2 phases, learning and polish, with a break in between. I finished learning Beriot #4, now I'm going back to put polish on Scene de Ballet, one of my favorites. It has several scenes of music, this speaks to me of the happiness of contentment.
@maixyl Hmm 🤔... I'd have to think about it. I'm still in Peru for a few more days. The gavotte from the third partita comes to mind with all the different episodes and coming back to the refrain. But there's so many good ones.
@ITOA482182 Yes, this practice technique has helped me tremendously. There are a lot of things to keep in mind when playing violin and trying to do everything all at once is just unmanageable.
Machu Picchu -Bonus!
The Incas used llamas for wool, food, and transport. They can carry up to 25 kg. Coca-Cola made a special Peru soda called Inca Cola which is very popular among the locals. On the train ride back to Cusco the staff put on a performance for us 👏.
Machu Picchu 3/3 - Panorama
We hiked up to a viewpoint above the city for amazing views. We saw temples, homes, storehouses, agriculture terraces, and predicting the seasons. The inhabitants fled after the Spanish conquered Cusco but the Spanish never found the city.
Machu Picchu 2/3 - The city
The name Machu Picchu isn't actually for the city, it is for the mountain. It means old mountain. Huayna Picchu means young mountain and the city lies between them. Many temples including the condor temple in the last picture. Can you see the wings?
Macchu Picchu 1/3 - Journey
We arrived in the village by train. It was made in 1901 and grew with the railroad and boomed to promote tourism. Its name is Hot Water because it has natural hot springs.
