@organichemusic I appreciate all you do and advocate for! I have been trying to locate your tweet from approx June 19th that starts w/ “I have COVID! What should my kids & I take…” for best recovery etc. Any chance you could provide the link again, I can’t find it in your account! 🙏
@tired_elle Let’s also take a trip down memory lane…schools were open the last two years at this time…but little to no flu was spreading…what’s the difference between then and now? Oh yes. Masks were mandated then. They work. She would rather report deaths, than implement prevention.
Open letter to @Dave_Eby@adriandix@JM_Whiteside:
You need to take action before
@BCChildrensHosp & #bced collapse under the “triple-demic”.
This level of illness affects *everyone*.
It’s solvable too…Universal masks protect all!

@realreporter @eatonhamilton Hi Salim, everything I have read is that Health Canada approved the Moderna bivalent that only targets omicron BA.1 and original Covid strain, while US is approving bivalent that targets omicron BA.4 and 5. Please advise where you are getting your info?
@realreporter She also called it a “respiratory” virus. Why is there little to no acknowledgement that this can affect vascular and clotting systems, and that there are people who will get long Covid and have complex and debilitating symptoms? The whole picture has never been painted. #COVID
@realreporter Thank you for always clearly illustrating the numbers. Is there any way of finding out the breakdown in ICU? I no longer see it posted from @adriandix and am not very skilled at navigating the dashboard. Am I missing something?
@realreporter And only 10k tests run when we have been told capacity is 20k. So we are running at only half full testing capacity, and yet, the great majority of us are turned away while tests go unused. We are told to manage individual risk, and are forbidden the tools to do so. #bcpoli
I’m so incredibly sorry we have gotten to this point. Completely unacceptable that we are basically told to return to our normal lives, and yet, this is the consequence. What if family didn’t live close by?? @PennyDaflos@CTVVancouver@cbcnewsbc@adriandix
My mother is severely disabled and an acute care patient in RJH Hospital in Victoria. I just got a call from the hospital that there aren’t enough staff to feed her so family must go immediately for her to get breakfast and other meals.🧵
@Angel_Sulli Yes!! YOU provide them with feedback on how to help your family. Remind them that this kind of learning is new for your family and you are doing the best you can. Nothing about that should be apologetic. You are in charge. Best to you!!
@Angel_Sulli Blah, I’m sorry to hear this. If you feel the teacher is crossing a line, you could always go to the principal to help referee, but I know it is so much stress. I was also reminded that one bad report card year is not the end of the world. Wish I could help more!
@Angel_Sulli I see your profile and see you have a child with ASD. I do as well…if it’s their DL program that is causing so much stress, you can definitely push for an IEP that allows modifications to the standard program. We gained much more flexibility that way…DM me if you want info!
@Angel_Sulli I hear you! I homeschooled through a DL program last year that was complete mess and so difficult to navigate. You could leave DL and become registered homeschooler. Means you have to search out and provide your own learning resources - is this an option for you?
@HislopMD Thank you. My son has a classmate with severe peanut allergy, so nobody in class brings peanuts to school…social responsibility to protect the vulnerable. Same class where at least 5 kids are unmasked every day….no social responsibility to protect the vulnerable?? 😡
@richardzussman But if it is high risk, then why just close the adult gyms and dance studios? Why leave youth ones open with NO mask mandate in place during the classes?? And if youth facilities stay open, then instructors can’t “do the right thing” and work from home. Round and round we go.
"Would you send your children to the beach if a tsunami was approaching? If I still had school-aged children, I’d only consider sending them to their classrooms if three conditions were met....." Read more here:

@helloterumi@sarahlehuray@JM_Whiteside Still now, there is NO mask mandate inside dance studios or gyms for youth extracurricular activities. Masks must be worn in common areas, but not inside actual studio/gym during exercise. Many places require them anyway 🙏 …but where is the leadership and consistency on this?
@richardzussman So schools have delayed start, but extracurriculars do not. Youth gyms and dance studios are open, masks are NOT required inside the gym or studio while exercising w/kids of all ages who are not fully vaccinated. No capacity restrictions. Explain please? #bcpoli@PennyDaflos
