.@GovParsonMO, please do not let Missouri execute
@innocence@the_MIP client #MarcellusWilliams, an innocent person — where there is overwhelming evidence that his trial was constitutionally unfair — on 9/24. https://t.co/HItz4tx1Th
first words Sonya Massey said at her front door were “don’t hurt me”
she was told “why would we hurt you, you called us”
when have those words meant anything when your black and woman in this country
when do those words protect you from not being murdered in your kitchen, in your bedroom, with your babies, or on your lawn
what is “reassurance”, in this place ?
rest in power Sonya Massey, and an abundance of love and power to Sonya’s family on this journey
being kind is free. checking in on your people is free. sending an encouraging text is free. giving a genuine compliment is free.
spreading love is free.
I know @IssaRae inspired many of us as creators and entrepreneurs but she truly made my awkwardly shy and silly ass feel seen and valued as a black girl since day 1.
That personality representation on screen is what has always mattered most to me, every single episode.
“I keep thinking about all it took to get here. Doubting myself… and then I realized that it was all in my head. No one was doubting me except for me.”
“I had to believe that it would work out for it to work.”
Ok, but those are WORDS! #InsecureSeriesFinale
.@GovStitt Oklahoma cannot execute an innocent man. Please save Julius Jones’ life and take the recommendation of your Pardon and Parole Board and commute his sentence to life with the possibility of parole. #JusticeforJulius
Tomorrow, Julius and his legal team will make the case for his clemency.
We need EVERYONE to pray and take action. Contact the Pardon & Parole Board and at Gov. Stitt at https://t.co/29D6b1AJbV and raise your voice for #JusticeForJulius

There comes a point in your life as a young woman of color when you really step into defining yourself for YOURSELF. YOU define what is beautiful to you and what is beautiful on you. The most empowering thing we can do is walk in that fullness and confidence sooner than later.
