HEP author Ann M. Castle sat down for an interview with us and discussed takeaways from her new book, TEACHING WITH LITERACY PROGRAMS, which she co-authored with @PatEdwardsMSU, @Kristen500, and Laura J. Hopkins. Watch a clip from this conversation: https://t.co/SUS0deiA6I
@deroomat I was not fond of the advice. But Dr. Edwards always suggested a mandatory in-person Zoom meeting during week one. It pains me to admit that it did help. I also like SHORT videos. Engaging and motivating online teaching and learning is challenging. Good luck!

GREAT article. Policy makers don’t necessarily want to hear that the science is more complex and less certain than we thought. It’s much easier to get public support for a handful of “proven” practices. https://t.co/hcAqN9MMwh
A new comment on course evaluations that I have not received before. "Dr. White is a total bad bitch. #girlboss." I will take that as a compliment. My confidence just increased.

I recently heard from a student I taught 23 years ago. She remembered the joy of a chapter book I read aloud as her fourth-grade teacher. I will be sharing this note with future teachers!
