Tonight I enjoyed being a part of an authentic discussion between a group of FHPS staff, students and community members in a Community Conversation through Restorative Circles. We build a stronger community when we dialogue ways to help our kids navigate a sometimes violent world

[Kristen Covelle @KristenCovelle]

@GovWhitmer Sawyer and Elliott were super proud to meet this distinguished FHPS alumna! Ellie thinks she just might want to be the governor one day, too...❤️

[Kristen Covelle @KristenCovelle]

@GovWhitmer It’s really cool when a CHS grad returns to honor her roots... and still cooler when FHPS can honor her wings as well. Thank you for the visit, Governor! @FHPSnews

There is no mastery without feedback. But it’s hard.

This checklist has really helped me over the years.

My mantra for receiving feedback: Be brave. Listen. You can take what’s helpful and leave the rest.

My mantra for giving feedback: Clear is kind. Unclear is unkind.

Did you know it takes a full year to make a banana? That’s the guilt trip I use on *my* kids to try to prevent waste. It works... sometimes...

I’ve never experienced a magnet school more magnetic than Goodwillie Environmental School! Just WOW. ❤️
