Some thoughts from seeing a ton of Covid in the ER this week

Good news: Aside from a few patients with compromised immune systems, didn't have to hospitalize anyone who was vaxxed/boosted

Bad news: Health systems are stressed to the max

@yashar My downstairs neighbor was an Iranian widower with 3 kids and I will never forget the kindness that he extended towards me when I was a money-less, hungry grad student. It was a mutually beneficial neighborship - I would help with the kids, he would feed me. It was beautiful. ♥️
