@jessicaebarmer I agree! 😂 I think that 18+ (or when mature) parents should begin having those conversations & budgeting lessons. What I was referring to is parents who say unnecessary things (not receiving payment during sick leave, saying “they don’t know how they’re going to make it”, etc.).

Parenting Hot Take: I don’t think parents should share their serious financial worries, emotional struggles, etc. with their young children. There must be discernment when sharing with the young ones whom you’re to take care of; they need to feel safe & stable, even if you don’t.
