@sippicup2 I would say 25 years at least. Jury could access less time once they find him guilty…and they will if trial continues. So if it’s a mandatory sentence of at least 25 years with a plea of guilty I feel like justice is served. Death hasn’t ever been on the table due to his age.

@sippicup2 My husband and I were discussing this Saturday. There is no way they’re proving self defense prosecution has done a great job disproving that. They have no witnesses and Anthony is not getting in the stand. If they offer a plea deal I believe it will be a hefty sentence

🚨 UPDATE WARNING: From the "Karmelo Anthony Trial"  June 8th 2026

A retired court stenographer who has been attending the trial and documenting what happens inside the courtroom was allegedly threatened outside a store parking lot, after leaving the courthouse.

According to what she reported, two women approached her with purple shirts on while she was in her car and screaming at her warning her to “watch out,” while making references to the Black Panthers “rolling up.” After she drove away, she noticed a black SUV following her. When she arrived at her hotel, the vehicle reportedly drove by slowly. Moments later, while she was on the phone with me, someone knocked on her hotel room door.

I told her not to open it.

Hotel security was contacted, she was safely escorted out, and I arranged transportation to the airport to get her away from the situation and back home. Authorities were notified and given descriptions of the individuals, the vehicle, and the identifying bumper sticker. They stated security around the courthouse would be increased and patrols would be watching for the vehicle.

This is disgusting and unacceptable.

No one should be threatened, followed, or intimidated for attending a public trial, documenting courtroom proceedings, or reporting what they witnessed.

This trial is already tense enough. Intimidation outside a courthouse crosses a serious line.

Let the justice system work. Stop trying to scare people into silence.

Everyone attending this trial, reporting on it, or simply being near the courthouse needs to stay alert. Be aware of your surroundings, don’t walk alone if you can avoid it, and report anything suspicious immediately.

Stay safe, keep your head on a swivel, and do not let intimidation silence the truth.
