@CM_1884 @TheAnfieldTalk@LCFC Nice whataboutery.
I was there and it did very much happen. Maybe not "non-stop" but that's because they were basically statues after 20'
Gianni Infantino, who two weeks ago wrote to all 32 FA’s who are attending the World Cup urging them to focus on football rather than geopolitics and human rights, today gives a lecture on geopolitics and human rights
Liz discovering the nuances of the tea run at No. 10:
"If you refuse to make the tea, they call you Mariella Shitstrop, or Flouncey Sinatra, which doesn't even really work." #TheThickOfLiz
Priti Patel to the backbenchers:
"In order to be an efficient shepherdess, one needs a number of things. Firstly, one needs a whistle. That's my voice. Secondly, one needs a coat. That's my coat. Thirdly, one needs a dog, and that in my case is a lady called Liz." #TheThickOfLiz
@ulstertory @Coneygc@AndyBurnhamGM But lumping all in RMT based on their average is disingenuous because that's the mean salary, so more than half of them will be below that amount and therefore a good chance that around half will be below UK median. Stats can be misleading
@ulstertory @AndyBurnhamGM The original post is about how the public debate is framed and it shouldn't be a race to the bottom, nobody's wage dispute should be framed as damaging to everyone. I also disagree with Andy B stating it as bottom 50%. It's all of us against like 200 or so individuals
@ulstertory @AndyBurnhamGM How so? When was the last time a big bonus payout to bankers, for example, was met with doomsaying about how it would push prices up or cause inflation? It doesn't happen because that's the correct response, but any debate on minimum or living wage goes that way eventually
@Deviantbreed89 @ulstertory @AndyBurnhamGM Honestly, every argument with a tory is the same, it's constant requests for evidence and changing the parameters so they can just barge on with the same heartless opinions
@OoChuckles@DominicSpindloe@themichaelowen@UEFA that doesn't rectify it though because that's not how probability works. that argument means that Liverpool's ball not coming out against Atletico means there's no problem with united not being in
