@MichaelBurechai @KIN110UofR Do you think teams that usually do not play in this arena undergo lung training to be prepared to play at such a high altitude?

@KIN110UofR Back in 2005, when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, The Louisiana Superdome was a shelter for people who could not evacuate the city. Many sporting events were cancelled or postponed because of the damage.

@KIN110UofR There have been plans for Regina that consist of building a new multi-use arena downtown to revitalize downtown Regina. Do you think this will help revitalize the city, or will it be more of a cost to citizens?

@MichaelBurechai @KIN110UofR I think that it depends on which player it happened to. Many players would have self control to not fight back but others may lose their temper from this type of fan.

@KIN110UofR One example of spectator violence happened in 2001 when a Flyers fan got into a fight with Leafs player Tie Domi. A fan yelled at Domi, and Domi spilled water on the fan, which caused the fan to hop in the box, and they began to fight.

Do you think athletes should have their social media accounts monitored by professionals so they can post things that help their image and not jeopardize their careers or should athletes be able to run their accounts by themselves?

@KIN110UofR One example of on-field deviance that I find interesting is the use of banned substances or doping in sports. This article talks about BALCO and their involvement in doping scandals. They created PEDs for athletes that went undetected in tests.

@KIN110UofR This article is about the Miami Marlins' General Manager, Kim Ng, who stepped down from her position recently because of the plans to hire a president of baseball operations to diminish her role. The team had many successful seasons with her.

@KIN110UofR Tickets for the 2023 MLB World Series start at $1,300 for Game 1. Being the final series of the playoffs for the MLB to crown the league champions, the tickets are more expensive than regular season tickets. These prices are subject to change depending on the location

@KIN110UofR A problem in youth sports is parents' high expectations of their children. The pressure from parents on children to succeed causes some to lose interest in sports. Introducing courses about proper etiquette in sports may relieve some stress that parents put on their children.

@KIN110UofR @Kin110UofR This article I found talks about the gender pay gap in sports and the difference between the WNBA and NBA salaries. It also talks about how the gender pay gap affects female athletes. #feministtheories

@KIN110UofR I would define a sport as an activity that uses physical exertion and skill while having competition against other participants. Sports also need to have a set of rules that players can follow to compete. Recreation is when there is little competition and a small number of rules.
