@GionyxAAA@AidanORourkeVO Yeah it matters to the characters but narratively it doesn't. Narratively the main mystery up to this point was bs. Narratively the writer decided "you know what, let's make everything fake." Which is very tropey n unoriginal compared to the mysteries and themes of dr 1 and dr 2
@wackmadino@AidanORourkeVO Thats why the mystery is half-baked, because the conclusion to it is so simple, it's just all fake. Simple doesn't mean bad, but it also doesn't mean effective, I just see a lack of creativity.
@wackmadino@AidanORourkeVO Its sad that the red herrings seemed to have pointed to a way more interesting story then what it ended up being. A lazy "everything was fake" plot
@GionyxAAA@AidanORourkeVO Whats the theme of Drv3? Everything is fake, so unoriginal and boring. I loved everything about Drv3 but the ending was so lacking in creativity.
@GionyxAAA@AidanORourkeVO Dr 1's theme at the end was about taking on a dangerous, destroyed world, even knowing that out there might give you an even more brutal death than the executions, they still decided to go anyway because it meant they would have a choice, freedom to at least try .
@GionyxAAA@AidanORourkeVO Exactly, and by telling us its fictional, it diminishes any kind of cool continuity it established. Nothing matters.
And again i know that's the "point" but it's a really boring and lame "point"". Any amateur writer could have written a story like that (and have)
@AidanORourkeVO And don't give me no "that's the point" when it wasn't even hinted well, nor was it a clever ending like the two other games, just made me feel like it was a waste of potential and time
@AidanORourkeVO People being dissapointed this game sets up a big mystery chapter by chapter, making us believe all the dots would be connected in a satisfying way, just for it to be a "it's all fiction, the author didn't think of a mystery actually haha" as a pay off as good writing?
Would Todo’s IQ be enough for him to quickly process and understand Higuruma’s Deadly Sentencing rules, whereby he gets a “Not Guilty” verdict, and shut down the Domain?
@warrie2021 A world where science could make people's special blood turn them into giants with superpowers, but some parasite living in the woods is too much to grasp?
