@JaqubAjmal I think they intended for it to be a "full on scary" game series with the first, and they should've continued that style going forwards.
The sequels were definately a bit more action oriented (but still fun) though I think EA did that to try and appeal to a wider audience
@JaqubAjmal I feel like the more they tried to tell a cohesive story with the sequels, the less scary it got. The 1st felt more impacful due to the events of the game not being explained (but slowly unravelling over time).
The 2nd delved more into that lore, but Ill agree, 3 was a bit messy
@JaqubAjmal Resident Evil definitely has a better overall storyline to connect the games together, but its a very different style of game.
Arguably I find RE games less scary because of the campiness/silliness of them (chainsaw parries, witty one liners, over the top sequences etc)
@JaqubAjmal Don't think Dead Space really needed a deep storyline/memorable characters to fulfil its purpose. They focus more on psychological storytelling, using isolation (and the lack of characters) to build dread and fear.
If EA had stuck with Dead Space by moving on to a 2 remake, new titles & further expanded multimedia they’d have a very lucrative & profitable franchise on their hands.
To see EA match the quality of modern Resident Evil, if not surpass it & then say “nah I’m done” is baffling.
@TBagGamingYT Especially when they announced the OG trilogy remake (which was a really cool suprise) and then did the whole, "oh... and one more thing"
Honestly, this was one of my biggest reasons for turning away from Battlefield. I was fed up of being let down by Dice/EA.
My community was negative, my mindset was negative, my content was negative.
It's a shame to see nothing's changed.
It's sad that every Battlefield 6 video I make is just me repeating the same thing over and over.
I don't wanna be negative about this franchise. I just wanna have fun and enjoy the game.
But I can't when the issues are so glaring and obvious.
