Certain extended family members of Canadian citizens and Canadian permanent residents will be eligible to travel to Canada. This includes people in a long-term exclusive relationship and their dependent children, adult children, grandchildren, siblings and grandparents.

@CitImmCanada Hi, i have been waiting for your response! If a husband and a wife, both are in different countries, isn’t their reuniting is not essential travel for IRCC? I have got an email that this is not an essential travel and the visa is on hold according to IRCC.
