@MertenDK whereas Malvinas concerns an unlawful foreign occupation of Argentine soil. Historical illiteracy is hardly a substitute for an international law title. Read UNDRIP, whose Article 46 explicitly protects territorial integrity and no right to secession. 🤡🇬🇧
@MertenDK Confounding Patagonia with the Malvinas question is a transparent exercise in geopolitical deflection. Indigenous rights in sovereign States are governed by UNDRIP—whose Article 46 explicitly protects territorial integrity. You have expones noghong with legal grounds.
@MertenDK You're on Tuiter and not affiliated in any international law UN body like me. I can laugh at your poor rhetorical skills and terrible grammar while still doing my job. That distinction matters. 😎🇦🇷
@MertenDK Me: "There is no international process recognized by the UN to "return Patagonia," nor do all Indigenous movements hold that position. Much less do they pose an obstacle to the Malvinas Cause. Take your moral dilemmas to a clergyman, not the UN."

@MertenDK There is no international process recognized by the UN to "return Patagonia," and...nor do all Indigenous movements hold that position.
Much less do they pose an obstacle to the Malvinas Cause.
Take your moral dilemmas to a clergyman, not the UN.
This is a legal Cause.😎🇦🇷
@MertenDK There is no proceeding before ICJ, international arbitration tribunal, General Assembly or any UN body where an indigenous subject has obtained international recognition as sovereign of Argentine Patagonia😎.
UN Practice.
Legal discourse is for those who address the actual law.
@MertenDK None of the ONI's practices suggest that a third party can retrospectively convert all of Patagonia into the territory of a new indigenous state or use that hypothesis to resolve the Malvinas Cause.🇦🇷😎
🇬🇧🤡
@MertenDK Facts must still be characterised under the applicable rules. The point is not to confine reality to courts or UN documents, but to distinguish fact, law and political assertion.
@MertenDK An indigenous claim does not demonstrate British sovereignty over the Falkland Islands; if anything, it opens up a completely different legal controversy.😎🇦🇷
UN Práctice.

@MertenDK The argument has now travelled from Malvinas to the Patagonis. One wonders when the territorial title will return to the subject under discussion. Historical grievances deserve serious study; they do not become evidence for sovereignty by geographical association.
🇦🇷😎
@Boringgit1@PippaMusgrave1@bu37027 Wrong. Argentina's claim rests on the exercise of uncontested sovereignty. Governors, enforcement of legislation, hunting and fishing permits. Great Britain never did any of that until well after 1840 when it replaced Lafone's gauchos.
@Boringgit1@PippaMusgrave1@bu37027 You should be more careful about that, since papal documents authorized a certain English request to invade Ireland. It's international law from that time. 🤭
@MertenDK Invoking "violence and war" may condemn a method of conduct; it does not establish the proposition that Argentina’s territorial claim is legally extinguished. Those are separate questions under international law.
Again: 👉🏼Legal discourse is for those who address the actual law😏
@MertenDK Sir, 1982 hostilities neither conferred nor extinguished title. Malvinas Question rests solely upon succession to Spanish sovereignty and uti possidetis juris.
Repeated historical digression remains juridically irrelevant. Legal discourse is for those who address the actual law.
