Piece of advice for low level IGLs:
You won’t be a successful team as the head down, silent leader type if more than 60% of your practice and matches are online.
Show your work, explain your thought processes, tell your team what you’re working on, study the game then teach your team what you learn. Make your work and effort known.
Players reacting independently from a common goal will disrupt flow and cohesion, but they won’t trust a leader over their own intuition unless they know how you think and trust you know enough to make the right decisions. So have confidence, speak your mind, and show them you deserve their trust.
Don’t hide in the background and only come out of the shadows in matches and don’t relegate yourself to a side character during practices. Put yourself front and center and become someone others want to follow and trust with their success.
