New: #WWE NXT wrestler @TatumPaxley wore gear modelled after Rouge the Bat ahead of her North American title defence vs. @ZariaWWE_ late Tuesday.

It's not the first time #Sonic has turned up on the show. Paramount promoted the #Knuckles mini-series during an #NXT pay-per-view in April 2024. But this time, Paxley's gear appears to be a personal choice.

The episode can be watched on @TheCW in the United States, and internationally on @Netflix.

Mais s'énerver n'est nécessaire puisqu'on ne nous a jamais promis quoique ce soit lié à Sonic dans le Nintendo Direct.

In an interview with Gamertag Radio, Takashi Iizuka, current Sonic Creative Officer, touched on his conversation with #SonicPicoPark's development team.

Noting that they showed Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy as playable characters in the game's first trailer, he stated that as a 35th anniversary title, he was hoping to see even more characters in the game. He then teased reveals for those characters in the future.

Rouge the Bat made an appearance on WWE NXT this week, with Women's North American Champion Tatum Paxley wearing gear inspired by the Sonic character during her title defense against Zaria. 🦇💎

Sonic references in WWE aren't new either. Xavier Woods has incorporated several Sonic references over the years, and Paramount previously promoted the Knuckles series during NXT in 2024.
