The SEM is an officer of ACP rank - so a policeman is adjudicating on custody of people arrested by the police. Goes against the basic doctrine that no one should be a judge in their own cause.

Everyone was discussing XYZ being issued a notice in Delhi’s farcical SIR. I checked & found one “issued” to me. Ajeeb system hai where the noticee must visit website to discover the notice. Lawyers - take note upload notices publicly & forget the concept of proof of service! 🤡

@sone_do_mujhe IMO shdn’t have dismissed on that count alone. Even if the forum shopping aspect is clear…there is a possibility of the same being attributable to the counsel and nt the applicant. Need to give that benefit & shd be heard by same bench on merits with forum shopping observation.
