There are a lot of myths about Alberta’s oil sands. One of the biggest is that once mining is complete, the land is simply abandoned.
Suncor’s mobile reclamation exhibit offered a fascinating look at how reclaimed mine sites are being transformed into forests, wetlands, lakes, and wildlife habitat.
It also highlighted something many people don’t realize: the majority of the water used in Suncor’s mining operations is continually recycled and reused, with new technologies being developed to safely treat water and return it to the environment as reclamation progresses.
Alberta continues to prove that responsible energy development and environmental innovation go hand in hand.
Pure Nenshi NDP cowardice. It’s starts with apologizing for merely being seen talking with the ambassador of the Jewish state…and we all know where the slippery slope goes from there.
We can all debate the conflict between Israel, Hezbollah, Hamas, Iran, Gaza etc., but anyone wanting to lead this Province needs to be able to meet and hear out the real concerns of our various community leaders and national representatives without marginalizing them as unworthy to be in your presence.
Nenshi is simply unfit to lead. And it’s becoming more glaring each and every day.
Israel made peace with Egypt in 1979, and hasn’t attacked it since.
Israel made peace with Jordan in 1994, and hasn’t attacked it since.
Saudi Arabia never attacked Israel, and Israel hasn’t attacked Saudi.
Maybe Israel just defends itself against enemy belligerents.
The New York Times falsely reported that Israel shelled a Gaza hospital - turned out to be a Hamas rocket.
It ran a front-page story portraying a child with cerebral palsy as evidence of mass starvation.
And now: “rape dogs.”
The @nytimes long ago stopped being a paper of record. It rushes to print sensational claims hoping their readers are stupid.
If you are wondering why CEOs are getting more pointed, it is because they see the enormous opportunity laying at our country’s feet, but our political leaders are still not bending down to pick it up.
Let’s act with some urgency for once. Let’s attract some @%#! investment.
This is one of the most jaw-dropping, chilling interviews I have seen. Watch this Rabbi from London, respond to question about the terror stabbing in Golders Green!
Canadian base gets rocked by an Iranian missile on March 1st
not only does Canada NOT RESPOND to the enemy who launched it
we secretly WITHDRAW our troops.....HIDE the fact that it even happened
and then defend Iran by saying its an illegal war!
PATHETIC RESPONSE!
Poilievre literally explained that he wasn’t going to D.C. out of respect for the Canadian Prime Minister’s negotiating mandate on CUSMA.
Whoever wrote this headline is an anti-@CPC_HQ ignorant jackass.
There are no Jews in Gaza and barely any Hindus left in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, millions of Muslims live freely in Israel and India.
Yet somehow, Israel and India are the ones labeled "racist." Make it make sense.
Congratulations to my friend @JeromyYYC on being elected Mayor of the great city of Calgary! And congrats to all councillors elected & re-elected.
When an incumbent is defeated, I have always thanked them for their service, even if I disagree strongly with their policies.
But I’m going to make an exception for Jyoti Gondek.
Two months following the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, she boycotted the highest profile public celebration of the Jewish community in Calgary every year, the Chanukah menorah lighting at City Hall.
During a tidal wave of antisemitism across the world, she rejected one of our smallest and most vulnerable communities. And I believe she did so for craven political reasons.
By doing so, she degraded her office and embarrassed our city.
For that one reason alone, I am happy that Calgarians have chosen change that will unite us, not divide us.
Ignoring the massacre of 8 Canadians on October 7, siding with their killers, dehumanizing their families, the hostages still held, and over 1,200 lost souls, is evil.
Granting a state to those practicing state terror as statecraft, perpetuating intergenerational hate with pensions for murdering Jews, is evil.
Not requiring this “state” to recognize Israel’s existence, is evil.
Not a single condition was met. No election. No release of all hostages. No demilitarization and dismantlement of Hamas. Lying about your intentions, is evil.
Doing this, on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, emboldening mobs and violence upon our Jewish communities, is evil.
The fascism once buried in the last world war has reincarnated as modern terrorism. This isn’t fancy diplomatic footwork. It’s appeasement. It’s betrayal.
Prime Minister, on this dark day you’ve dispensed with basic human dignity and the rule of law, you’ve emboldened the ancient hate with a terror state. It’s evil.
Deeply disturbing to see that so many corners of Canadian higher education are populated by left wing extremists who openly support political violence and terrorism, and do so without consequences.
If administrators feel they can’t discipline tenured professors who call for or endorse killing their political adversaries, perhaps they should ask themselves how these morally stunted loons got hired in the first place.

The Order of Canada is for our very best; its recipients should unify, not divide.
