Knights and Ladies #atlegon embarked on a medical outreach to the Adenta Frafraha Foster Home. This forms part of our Lenten season charity activities.

We facilitated 148 dental checkups 🦷 with 9 of the kids receiving treatment.

Almsgiving is a form of prayer because it is actually giving of yourself to God — it’s not just charity. It is a form of fasting because it demands sacrificial giving — not just giving something, but giving up something, giving till it hurts.

2nd Pillar of Lent: Fasting

An action is virtuous due to its being directed by reason to a noble good. Hence we Fast for 3 purposes: 1) to restrain the desires of the flesh; 2) to raise the mind to contemplate sublime things; 3) to make satisfaction for our sins.

The 3 pillars of Lent - Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving - They serve as guideposts on this 40-days Journey.
