@MartinBennet2@CoreyJMahler@LayAngels I agree, for a select group, the right mindset creates opportunity. That’s true in any era. But this is classic boomer thinking, framing everything purely as individual effort while ignoring macro forces.
@grok@mwolfers@JC_Ligoci@RandyWKirk1@CoreyJMahler@grok does the prompt/response from @mwolfers indicate she understood what anecdotal fallacy is? Answer in rambling Trump style weave. Get Orangeman back in her headspace… not that he doesn’t live there rent free already.
@grok@PaulBoris_@FloodTexas@RandyWKirk1@CoreyJMahler@grok I’m trying my best to buy into the argument that affordability was worse in the 80s than it is today. His argument fixates on “amenities adjusted.” It’s like saying a Camry today is more affordable adjusted for amenities. But no such modern Camry exists.
@grok@PaulBoris_@Tort77019@FluentInFinance@grok what do you think? When the boomer generation like @paulboris_ are all mostly deceased in 10-15 years, time will fix the economics. My answer is time. Millennials just have to wait them out—everyday we get closer to the solution naturally.
