Another powerful moment here at #inc5

[#BreakFreeFromPlastic @brkfreeplastic]

The delegate from Mexico delivers a power-packed statement from 94 countries — representing a strong, ambitious will to deliver on the mandate of the UNEA 5.0 for a legally binding instrument against plastic pollution.

Again, wild applause and cheers erupted across the hall.

The amazing moment when the delegate from Rwanda brought more than 90% of the auditorium to their feet. #standforastongtreaty #INC5 #GPT #HoldTheLine

"This is not a drill, this is a fight for survival. Plastics are not convenient, they are a weapon of mass destruction. If we don’t get an ambitious treaty of Busan it will be a betrayal...history will not forgive us"
@theeco_nomist 🇵🇦 on the final day of #PlasticsTreaty talks.

"Everything we love is on the line!" @theeco_nomist 👏🏼👏🏼💚💚

With only a few hours left in the negotiations for a #PlasticsTreaty, we call on courageous delegations to keep defending key ambitious provisions.

Despite global momentum for a #PlasticsTreaty that cuts plastic production, Saudi Arabia—the world’s top oil exporter—is leading the charge to derail talks by insisting on unanimity and stalling with procedural objections. The whole story in @nytimes https://t.co/04DEQTh8De

Here is a thread on why we need an ambitious #PlasticsTreaty in #Busan.

More Plastic Than Fish
By 2050, the oceans will have more plastic than fish by weight. Let that sink in. We are choking our seas. It’s time to act. #PlasticsTreatyNow #INC5

"We are not going to recycle our way out of the plastics crisis. The real solution lies in reducing the production and consumption of plastic in the first place." Our Co-President and National Coordinator of @AMBRecyclers Katie Drews at the Plastics Forum

The past few weeks were filled with some of the most stressful, challenging, & demanding work I've ever done. It's also been some of the most developmental, fulfilling, & rewarding work. Grateful to finally relax a little & celebrate that work with a few colleagues & cocktails.

Dear leaders, just say thanks. Say it over an email. Say it in Teams/Slack/Zoom/wherever. Just say it. While it’s an incredibly small gesture it goes a helleva long way.

Second row for an incredible first @vikings game of the season. So glad I was there to witness in person this (hopefully) season-defining victory over the #Packers. The icing on the cake? Halftime show by @tpain! #SkolVikings #purplepride #allidoiswinwinwin
