Do not give in
Yes they have been silent on the outrage but remember back in late March 2021, they announced the closure of ps3/vita stores
It took them over 3 weeks to respond and the backlash was nowhere near what it is today
interesting how the EU can do things like compel apple to use a certain iphone charging standard, but can't do "anything" about a far more harmful anti consumer practice
It's looking like it, I honestly can't imagine spending $1000+ on a console where I'll need to pay a $80 per year subscription just to access the internet I already paid for + Paying $80-100 for digital licenses from one store.
May as well switch to my PC full-time by that point
"Removing discs doesn’t represent progress" - The UK's Entertainment Retailers Association says Sony's decision to stop making PlayStation discs is "a triumph of corporate convenience over consumer choice".

FALSE. The petition to save physical games is adding 5-10k signatures per day AT LEAST. Mainstream outlets (MSN, Fortune, etc) are talking about the backlash. People are still cancelling subscriptions. PS posts are still being ratioed. This isn’t dying off like they want you to believe.
If digital is your preference, great. You no longer have to endure the exhausting journey of getting up to change a disc. But advocating for Sony to abolish physical games is just weird. Why fight to remove a choice that doesn’t affect you? More options help everyone… right?
Sony really is just willing to watch every one of their social media posts get absolutely fucking wrecked. I don't think I've ever seen a company express such a lack of care for their fanbase before. This is some next level shit.
Absolute morons running PlayStation.
