2017, a crowded market in Varanasi.

It was a normal evening. Vendors shouting. People rushing. Traffic honking.

A small shop caught fire after a gas cylinder leak. Within seconds, panic spread through the narrow lane.

People ran.

But one man ran the other way.

Deepak Gupta, a nearby shopkeeper, heard someone screaming from inside the burning shop.

Without waiting for firefighters, he rushed through the smoke, covered his face with a cloth, and dragged the trapped shop owner outside.

2019, midnight patrol in Hyderabad.

Most of the city was asleep.

Then a faint cry echoed from an empty roadside.

A newborn baby had been abandoned near a trash bin, wrapped in a thin cloth, barely moving in the cold night.

People had passed that road for hours.

No one noticed.

Except Constable Srinivas Reddy.

During his patrol, he heard the weak cry and followed the sound.

What he found shocked him.

Without wasting a second, he picked up the baby, wrapped the child in his own jacket, and rushed to the nearest hospital on his patrol bike.

Doctors said something chilling:

A little more time in the cold… and the baby might not have survived.

That night, Srinivas didn’t just patrol the streets.

He gave a life a second chance.
