Ok Japanese friends, here's how to make famous sauce from America restaurant Rasing Canes using Japanese products
🍟 Raising Cane's Sauce – Japan Style! (Kewpie version)
After 24 hours in the fridge it transforms. Trust the process! 🥶
Ingredients:
1. ½ cup (120g) Kewpie mayonnaise
2. ¼ cup (60g) ketchup (Kagome or Heinz) (I use Heinz)
3. 1–1½ tbsp Worcestershire sauce OR tonkatsu sauce (Bull-Dog/Otafuku)
4. ½–1 tsp grated fresh garlic (or garlic from tube)
5. ½–1 tsp (or more!) coarsely ground black pepper (kuro kosho) (Don't go light on the pepper)
6. Pinch of salt (or tiny dash of dashi powder for umami)
Optional boosts:
• ½ tsp mirin
• Few drops yuzu or lemon juice
Mix everything well. Taste, then refrigerate at least 6–24 hours. Flavors meld and the mayo taste calms down.
Perfect for karaage, famichiki, fries, or katsu sando!
Enjoy and let me know what you think 😋
