PayPal just partnered with OpenAI.

PayPal will connect its tens of millions of merchants to OpenAI through its Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP) server. This will make product catalogs from small businesses and major brands discoverable and purchasable directly through ChatGPT.

PayPal will manage the backend functions like merchant routing and payment validation.
