Yesterday, our community celebrated Kamehameha, the conqueror and first ruler of the Kingdom of Hawai'i. King Kamehameha the Great was born around 1736 as Pai'ea to Keku'iapoiwa II, less than 2 miles from our farm at Upolu Point on the northernmost tip of the Island of Hawai'i.
