The Airline Pilots' Association of India (ALPA) has categorically rejected the 'unsigned and unattributed' inquiry report on the Ahmedabad air crash this past June 'leaked to the media by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau.'
"As the tone and direction of the investigation suggests a bias towards pilot error, the ALPA categorically rejects this presumption and insists on a fair, fact-based inquiry,'' the ALPA said in a post on X.

It said a July 10 a report in the Washington Post referred to inadvertent movement of the control switches and questioned how such sensitive investigation details were leaked to international media.
The report refers to serviceability bulletin concerning fuel control gates, which indicates a potential equipment malfunction, the post said, demanding to know whether the recommendations outlined in the bulletin were implemented before the flight.

EC to add Constituencies and Booths in Ids to Sanitize them

In response to the charges of duplication of voters' identity cards, the Election Commission on Sunday said that in future besides the Elector Voter Identity Card EPIC) numbers, the cards would also carry the names of the constituencies and the polling booths, irrespective of the EPIC numbers to ensure that the voters voted in the constituencies mentioned in their cards.
The numbers may be the same but the other details will ensure that voters vote in the constituencies and at booths mentioned in their cards, the Commission said. The Commission blamed the earlier manual method by which the EPIC numbers were allotted for the voters having the same EPIC numbers.
West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee had alleged that certain EPIC numbers in the state were linked to the voters living in Haryana, Gujarat and Punjab. She further alleged that it had happened with the Commission looking the other way. #electioncommission #mamatabanerjee #Haryana #epic

Babus committed criminal acts over last two years by ensuring sewers were not cleaned, dirty water went in residents homes and road repairs tenders were not finalised.
