Dear @LinkedIn, with all due respect, may I please have my money back 🙏! I'm from a country where the amount you just took from my account is more than 33% the median income. Over the years, I have fought the ever pervasive requests by your platform for me to sign up for the premium offering. I have never needed the premium features, and I didn't need them now 😬. I don't remember signing up for this, and I assume, it must have happened due to some dark pattern within your platform where I signed up for premium without realizing it. As a tech lead who's been in tech all my life, I am willing to offer your team free consultation to discuss these dark patterns on software platforms and how they can erode user trust over time. I am willing to work on the code to remove them from all your apps, for free 😎. Many in my circles have complained about the increase in these prompts to sign up for premium. This is not good for your brand. People should only be paying for a product if they are gaining value from it. Please retweet if you are against dark patterns in software 💪!
