Food for thought - Is 1xATR SL too conservative? Me thinks bare min should be a multiple of Std Deviation of ATR. Ex. If nifty ATR is 200 but std dev is 50, means ATR range can be 100 - 300. Then min SL is 50 - 100. Then compare this to MAE of system.Std Dev of ATR is the key.

@KunalNopany Again, irrelevant. With a 4% stop, portfolio drawdown ~1% per loss , to reach 30% over a year you'd need 20-30 losers stacked with no winners between. That's not a streak, it's a dead system. One should have stopped trading long before.

It seems Hindu lives don't matter in this country. People are jumping over the Satluj 95, but there is no mention or movie made on how Hindus suffered during the Khalistani movement, and believe it or not, Hindus made up 45% of Punjab's population. A large number of Hindus migrated, industries closed, and yet there was not a single incident of retaliation. Even the 1984 genocide of sikhs was not carried out by Hindus but by a mob of Congress goons gathered by loyalists of the Gandhi family. The comparison between Satluj 95, Kashmir files and Kerala story is laughable. Let the Satluj be released and also make movies highlighting the plight of 45% Hindus in Punjab, who suffered silently. One must go and meet the families of these Hindu students—9 from Kurukshetra and 10 from Kanpur. They came to Thapar Institute to promote peace, unity, and universal brotherhood, and in return, they paid with their blood. Nobody rioted in Kurukshetra or Kanpur. That is why I say, let's not go backward and dig deep, as it only causes pain, anguish, and revives old wounds.

I worked in Punjab as a journalist during the peak of militancy. Later in my career, I headed the Punjab Cell in the CBI, which had, in its past, investigated cases of fake encounters as well as the assassination of Sardar Beant Singh.

And that is exactly my concern with Satluj: not what it shows, but what it leaves out. It tells only half the truth; the other half is left unsaid, deliberately, and with a purpose.

The film decontextualizes Jaswant Singh Khalra and the human rights debate from the Pakistan-backed, brutal Khalistani insurgency. This omission is neither an innocent creative choice nor an inadvertent one. And, in my view, the intent behind such a selective portrayal should matter to every Indian.

@Gaurav_Cx10 that is a binary outcomes world. if you generalise to how your real trade log looks, that same winrate into profit factor become average return / std deviation of returns

@Gaurav_Cx10 And this is the flaw with these average loss per trade assumptions. for this to work, the risk management has to assume that no trade ever loses a single paise more than 1.5%. that is what most ppl can manage
